MEET SYDNEY

A girl who was obsessed with being in front of the camera quickly fell in love with being behind the camera.

Before I knew it, I was a running a photography business that was thriving and getting to capture amazing memories.

My story starts when I had my son Kyler. It's quite simple actually, like most moms I wanted Pinterest worthy photos of my sweet baby boy and bought my first camera to make sure I could make that happen. I researched lenses, reached out to other photographers trying to figure out how I could get the best pictures of Kyler without hiring a photographer once a month because trust me, I would have.

Then one day someone said to me "Why aren't you a photographer? You are very talented!" I thought to myself "oh my goodness, I couldn't do that." But low and behold, 2 weeks later I found myself on the beach photographing one of my old high school teachers who was newly engaged and loved every second of it!!

3 months later I shot my very first wedding by myself and was hooked!

I have fallen head over heels in love with photography, it truly sets my soul on fire. I get excited about all the little things like the lighting being absolutely perfect or when the wind blows your hair just right.

I have been photographing memories and telling love stories for the happiest of clients now for 4 years. Photography for me has allowed me to create lasting relationships with clients who have become dear friends and has given me so much to look forward to.

In 2022 I competed against 12 amazing and very talented photographers for the title of Best of Clay. I am honored to share that I won 2nd place and that is a huge accomplishment for Sydney Hodges Photography.

I have a huge dream of being a full time photographer and believe that my purpose is to create forever memories for people to have for years to come and always look back on.

Clay County is where I call home but I proudly serve Northeast Florida and beyond.

This is probably a bad habit, but I love my sleep. See you at noon!

GETTING UP

If it involves an alarm clock, I don't want it!

Maybe it's because I grew up in Florida with ZERO mountains, but I could ooh and aah over the mountains all day long.

BEACH

Funny enough, I actually grew up on the water so I lived on the beach my whole life!
