A Fernandina Beach Engagement Session at Seaside Park

Alexis + Timothy

Beach Engagement Sessions are a staple for many couples I shoot here in North Florida. The sand beneath the couple’s toes is both grounding and romantic. When these two love birds, Alexis and Timothy, told me about their beach engagement session idea, I was so excited!

How many people can confidently say they met the love of their life at a bar? Timothy and Alexis can, as they met back when he was her bartender in mid-2017! It was not until March of 2018 that they sealed the dating deal when Alexis first said, “I love you.” Since then, the couple has made countless memories together that have slowly been building up to the big moment when Timothy asked Alexis to marry him.

It was Christmas day in 2020, when Timothy hid Alexis’ engagement ring at the bottom of her mom’s stocking. At first, Alexis was more interested in charging her new Bluetooth Fujifilm mini printer than realizing what was going on! Peeking inside the mystery ring box, she asked, “is this for me?” Being too emotional, Timothy skipped right by the speech he planned for Alexis. All he could muster up was asking the big question. Of course, Alexis said yes!

Fast forward to their beach engagement session… We were expecting bad weather at the location they chose–Seaside Park in Fernandina Beach. Thankfully, it ended up being overcast and beautiful along the water, with no rain!

They brought their dog Ramsey along to the shoot. He was the best mannered boy and most photogenic pup ever! They told me that they take Ramsey along with them wherever they go. Having him be part of Timothy and Alexis’ photoshoot is a no-brainer! I love when my couples add personal touches to their engagement session, like including their pets. This truly makes your pictures that much more perfect and memorable.

Not only did the couple take engagement pictures at Seaside Park, but they also got married this past fall at the same beach on the most perfect date: 11/11/22. The double 11’s serve as a portal for good fortune, being recognized as the luckiest day of the year!

Timothy and Alexis are the perfect examples of true love. They talk so highly of one another and complement each other very well. I hope you enjoyed hearing a little bit about their love story and can see just how seamlessly they fit together in these pictures below!
