Abril earned her Master’s in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. She approached both her academics and personal growth with intention.

A Passion for Healthcare and Finding Her Path

Abril always knew she wanted to work in the medical field. At first, she felt unsure about where she would fit. During her undergraduate studies in Health Science, she explored different areas within healthcare and kept an open mind.

Her perspective changed when she stepped into research through her program. During her time in the Heath Administration Program, she discovered where her passion truly lived. Since then, she has built a strong interest in clinical research and plans to follow in her mom’s footsteps.

Her long-term goal is to work in clinical cancer research and contribute to advancements that improve patient care.

At the same time, her college experience grew just as much outside the classroom.

From UNF Cheerleader to Confident Leader

Abril spent four years on the UNF cheerleading team. That experience pushed her in new ways and helped her grow into a confident leader others could rely on.

In 2025, her team placed Top 3 at NCA College Nationals. This achievement marked the first time the program reached the winner’s circle. She later returned to coach at her alma mater and helped lead the team to new milestones.

She also earned a spot on the 2026 UCA Core Staff. Only 22 instructors earned this role nationwide, which makes this an incredible honor. Through every role she took on, she continued to lead, support, and inspire others.

Her growth came from years of showing up, pushing through challenges, and learning to trust herself.
