Do you remember the captivating Lewis family from a few blogs back? We captured Shea and Chase when she was about 8 months along in her pregnancy journey. Shea shared with me then that her pregnancy had been much harder than the last two. This might have been a foreshadow for the birth of newborn Clayton Lane who, since the maternity session, has made his appearance!
On December 13th, Clayton came into the world and was warmly welcomed by his 2 big brothers, and his parents, Shea and Chase. Unfortunately, they did not have the experience every family hopes for as things during his birth took an unexpected turn. Clayton suffered from respiratory issues (with three diagnoses!) which led to 6 days spent in the NICU. With strength and lots of prayers, he finally made his way home on December 19th and big brothers Andrew and Brenden showered their new best friend with kisses.
Clayton completes the ABCs of the Lewis family, following Andrew and Brenden. With so many “C” names out there—Colton, Christian, Carter—you might be wondering why they chose Clayton. Shea shared that she heard the name on a radio ad one day and it stuck! Chase picked the middle name, Lane, and just like that, their last little boy was named and ready to join the family.
This cozy in-home session overflowed with love, strength, and joy. Seeing them together, soaking in the newborn moments, filled my heart. I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful family and their perfect new addition.
