Growing up just outside of St. Augustine, I have always adored and loved the elegance, beauty, and history of this town. I remember visiting Downtown St. Augustine and Fort Matanzas as a child, and it is surreal to now help couples capture their love stories at this exact location. Sarah and Jeremiah had the most romantic and elegant engagement session ever here!
Back in 2020, Sarah and Jeremiah connected through Tinder. I know meeting online is not the way you would expect to find love, but, some of my favorite clients have met on dating apps! Sarah and Jeremiah instantly clicked after meeting in person on their first date. They went to their favorite fast food chain, Stake N Shake! Officially, they started dating on October 14, 2020 and are getting married on their 3rd anniversary at Tuscan Rose Vineyards in Callahan, Florida.
St. Augustine is not only special to me, but, it is special to Sarah and Jeremiah. This is because St. Augustine is where Jeremiah got down on one knee and asked Sarah the big question. All winter, Sarah had been thinking about visiting the nights of lights event held every year in Downtown St. Augustine. But, the New Year came along and Sarah thought she missed her chance of seeing the lights that year. However, the lights run throughout the entire month of January! Actually, Jeremiah had been planning all along to take her there and ask her to marry him.
Coming back to St. Augustine for Sarah and Jeremiah’s engagement session was a no-brainer. Not only is it one of their favorite places to visit and enjoy local mom-and-pop shops, it is where the two committed to forever, surrounded by family. Truthfully, their love story makes me smile every time I think about it!
At Fort Matanzas, we captured some of my favorite engagement photos to date. For their first outfits, they wore the classic denim and white engagement session attire you see all over Pinterest. Then, Sarah and Jeremiah amped up the second half of their shoot in an iconic monochromatic black outfit. Usually, I try to urge my couples to stay away from one-color outfits. However, these two completely nailed this sleek and chic look!
Simply put, I cannot wait for Sarah and Jeremiah’s wedding this fall!
