A Dreamy Spanish Moss Garden Maternity Session In Palm Coast

As endless Spanish moss draped all of the trees at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, I had the pleasure of photographing a maternity session for Chase and Shea Lewis. The star of the session? Baby Clayton Lane still eagerly growing in mom’s belly.

Shea is a stay-at-home mom of her two (almost three!) boys. For the past few years, Shea has devoted herself to being a full-time mom. During this time, she has discovered a passion for crafting homemade treats. From baking breads to making pasta, she is on a journey to create unforgettable family meals and memories. With a December 20th due date, the Lewis’ will welcome their last addition to the family. Her journey through this pregnancy has been the most challenging compared to the last two. Despite the difficulties, Shea mentioned her youngest son embraces the role of becoming a big brother. Hugs, kisses, and daily conversations between mom’s belly and the youngest Lewis, creates heartwarming anticipation for what is to come!

Wandering through the state park, it was evident that this maternity session was about more than just photographs. It was a celebration of family and the eagerness of new beginnings. We were sure to photograph genuine smiles, hugs, and love. Shea shared her excitement about the upcoming sweet baby snuggles and the thought of her two boys holding their baby brother for the first time—a moment that would undoubtedly be etched in their hearts forever.

Maybe it was the rustling of the greenery and moss surrounding Chase and Shea. Or, maybe it was the feeling of expectancy of an addition to the family. But, something was definitely in the air this day, enveloping the Lewis’ with a certain glow that screams “our family is complete!”
