A Mom’s Park Mid Spring Engagement Session

Ever heard Golden hour is the best hour? Well, it definitely is. This mid-spring engagement session at Mom’s Park in Jacksonville, Florida definitely proves that to be true. 

Megan wanted glowy portraits and the sun did not disappoint. We started Megan and Justin’s engagement session at an intimate park I had never heard of before–Mom’s Park. Then we ended their golden hour session right on the water at St. John’s River Park. Through this time of getting to know Megan I have learned she loves details, and she loves vintage! So, the beautiful mosaic tile pavilion and giant oak tree were right up her alley.

Megan and Justin started dating on January 9, 2018, and tied the knot on August 15, 2021, at a small downtown Jacksonville venue called Brick and Beam.

They both met at a birthday party for Justin’s sister, and he knew she was the one when she was tracking college football scores during the party.

I asked Megan and Justin what their ideal date was, and Megan said they love kayaking on a day with great weather. Considering we live in Florida we never quite know when we will see that. Heck! Even if there is great weather it can change drastically in the snap of a finger without warning. On the flip side they also enjoy playing pranks on each other to keep things fun and exciting. This prank war all started when Justin accidentally dropped a cup of water on Megan while she was sleeping. Do you think it was a really an accident? I sure don’t and I don’t think she does either and that’s why they keep a running tally of all of their “unintentional” pranks that they play on each other.

Their engagement session was full of laughs and love, making it one I’ll never forget! I’m just thankful that no one pulled any pranks on me that day.
